MAIN FEATURES

The 24V 100AH ABS Self-Heating LFP Solar Storage Battery in 4D format from Volthium is custom-made for customers with cottages and off-grid homes. The battery is designed for solar storage banks ranging from 5kWh to 20 kWh.

These batteries have the particularity of having an accessible and reserved chamber for the BMS, making them repairable when needed and allowing to extend the life of the cells by limiting the heat transmission to them. Additionally, a private chamber helps to increase the usable temperature range of these batteries.

This new generation of battery is also equipped with a button that allows disabling discharge while allowing authorized recharging. Extremely practical when the customer wants to leave the batteries connected to the solar system during storage, eliminating the fear of them being drained by parasitic discharges.

This brand new battery, with an exclusive casing from Volthium, has 2x RJ45 ports for communication on the RS485 protocol. This connection is also used to transmit internal battery information to the Victron environment (on their VE.CAN protocol). To do this, get the Volthium HUB accessory, another exclusivity resulting from our internal and exclusive development.

Not only does this LiFePO4 accumulator resist vibrations, but it has a higher discharge range than the competition. Indeed, this battery can be discharged down to -25 degrees, instead of -20 degrees for the competition, and it can be recharged down to -40 degrees. This innovation is due to the fact that the cells in Volthium batteries come from the automotive industry.

Know that the battery is equipped with two internal heating systems. The traditional intelligent system activates when you apply a recharge to the battery while its temperature is below zero degrees Celsius. The second system, called manual, triggers when you apply a voltage to the positive connector H+ (M6) of the battery. This manual heating system is not automated. If you connect the positive terminal of the battery (M8) to the H+ connector (M6) of the battery with a small piece of cable, it will trigger using the battery's energy. * Please note, it is necessary to use a timer to avoid forgetting to turn off the heating. * The manual heating system is reserved for professionals and works down to -25 only.

The core of the BMS is produced by the American company Texas Instruments. This BMS microcontroller manufacturer is globally recognized in the field of electric vehicles, and is known for its long-standing collaboration with NASA and the US military. The programming and communication protocols are entirely developed by our engineers in Quebec.
