The 48V 100Ah ABS Battery in 8D format from Volthium is specially designed for electric boat customers, sailboats (for inverters), or for motorized vehicles and golf carts. The Volthium 48V 100AH Batteries, with or without integrated heating system, meet ABYC standards, including clause E-13, related to communication.
Indeed, the battery includes communication allowing the customer to set an audible and visual alert before the batteries go into protection mode. With their cell phone and the Volthium Monitor app, the customer can set an alert for a specific %SOC of their choice, in addition to determining a warning alert for high and low temperatures. This feature is available on several Volthium Batteries. Furthermore, the 48V 100AH batteries are CSA UL1973 certified.
These batteries have the particularity of having an accessible and reserved chamber for the BMS. This makes them repairable if needed and helps extend the lifespan of the cells by limiting the transmission of heat to them. Additionally, a private chamber helps increase the usable temperature range of these batteries.
Moreover, this lithium battery has an integrated cooling system that allows heat to be dissipated from the battery through its aluminum conductive plate. The heat sink further increases the temperature range for use, while promoting better efficiency for the integrated BMS. Additionally, an additional cooling system can be added. This new generation of batteries also features a stainless steel button that allows for discharge deactivation while leaving the recharge activated. Extremely useful when you want to leave the batteries connected to the solar system during storage, eliminating the fear of them being drained by parasitic discharges.
This brand new battery, with a casing exclusive to Volthium, has 2x RJ45 ports, with gold-plated pins, allowing communication on the RS485 protocol. This connection also serves to transmit internal battery information to the Victron environment (on their VE.CAN protocol). For this, get the Volthium HUB accessory, another exclusivity resulting from our internal and exclusive development.
Not only does this LiFePO4 accumulator resist vibrations, but it has a higher discharge range than the competition. Indeed, this battery can be discharged down to -25 degrees, instead of -20 degrees for the competition. And if you opt for the self-heating version, it can be recharged down to -40 degrees. This BMS microcontroller manufacturer is globally recognized in the field of electric vehicles, and is known for its long-standing collaboration with NASA and the US military.
